=== USER MANUAL === Usage: aura aura <name> Description: Auras are toggled area-of-effect abilities that emanate from your character, affecting everyone within range each tick. An aura persists until you toggle it off, or you run out of resources to sustain it. Typing aura with no argument lists your currently active auras. Typing aura <name> toggles the named aura on or off. How Auras Work: Once activated, an aura pulses periodically, applying effects to all characters within its range. Targets are sorted into three groups: Self Effects applied to the aura's owner each tick. Friendly Effects applied to allies within range. Enemy Effects applied to enemies within range. Some auras perform a skill check each tick -- your hit skill is rolled against the target's save skill. If the target wins, the aura's effects are removed from them until the next tick. Sources: Auras can come from two sources: Ability ......... Toggled manually with the aura command. Requires the appropriate class and skill node. Equipment ....... Activated automatically while the item is worn. Deactivates when the item is removed. Costs: Some auras drain MV or HP each tick. If you lack sufficient MV to sustain an aura, it deactivates automatically. Map Highlights: Active auras with a map color highlight their area of effect on your overhead map with a colored background. When multiple auras are active: - Auras of different ranges display as concentric rings, with the tightest aura's color shown in the overlap zone. - Auras of the same range divide the highlighted area into angular sectors, one per aura. Restrictions: - Some auras are restricted to a specific race. - Some auras require points spent in a specific class skill node. - Each aura can only be active once per source at a time.
