Usage: claw <target>
claw <structure>
claw (while in combat -- targets current enemy)
Description:
Rake your claws across a target, ripping into flesh and leaving
deep lacerations. Claw is a melee combat ability that deals slash
damage and inflicts bleeding.
How It Works:
When you use claw, your Natural Abilities skill is rolled against
the target's Evasion skill to determine the outcome:
Hit: You claw the target for damage and apply a 2-second
bleed effect.
You claw $N, ripping into $S flesh!
Miss: The attack fails. No damage is dealt.
You try to claw $N but miss!
Claw has a 4-second cooldown after each use, hit or miss.
Bleeding:
A successful claw inflicts bleeding for 2 seconds. While
bleeding:
- You take 2% max HP damage every 4 seconds.
- "You are bleeding heavily!"
- HP regeneration is completely disabled while bleeding.
- Move regeneration is halved while bleeding.
Structure Targeting:
Claw can be used against durable objects in the room such as
barricades, doors, and deployables. If no character matching the
target name is found, the ability targets a matching structure
instead.
Combat Behavior:
- Using claw outside of combat initiates combat with the target.
- While already fighting, claw with no argument targets your
current opponent.
- Cannot be used in peaceful rooms.
