=== USER MANUAL === Description: When you die, your character respawns at your start room with full HP and MV, standing, with all body injuries cleared and all temporary effects removed. Corpse: A corpse is created in the room where you died containing your lootable equipment. Items are handled as follows: No-lose items ........ Stay on your character (not dropped). Death-purge items .... Destroyed on death. Everything else ...... Transferred to the corpse for looting. Player corpses persist for a limited time before decaying. Death Marker: The room where you died is marked on your overhead map with a bright red background. This marker is visible only to you and helps you navigate back to retrieve your equipment. The marker clears automatically when you enter the room where you died, or is replaced if you die again elsewhere. Record Keeping: - Your death is added to your combat record (player deaths and mob deaths are tracked separately). - The killer's kill count is incremented. - Your death is announced globally (unless in a blackout room). Notes: - You do not lose MP or levels on death. - A brief respawning effect is applied for 1 second after respawn. - Killing players significantly below your level incurs a karma penalty. - The death marker is temporary and does not persist across logouts.
