Usage: tedit
tedit <file>
Description:
Edit game text files using the built-in string editor. With no
argument, lists all files available at your privilege level. The
screen is cleared and the file's current content is displayed for
editing. Use /s to save, /h for editor help. Requires
Senior Staff or Admin privileges.
Files:
Senior Staff (LVL_SRSTAFF):
news ........... News bulletin (2400 char max).
motd ........... Message of the Day (2400 char max).
imotd .......... Staff Message of the Day (2400 char max).
wizlist ........ Staff list at login (8192 char max).
Admin (LVL_ADMIN):
credits ........ Game credits (2400 char max).
help ........... Default help screen (2400 char max).
info ........... Info page (8192 char max).
background ..... Background story (8192 char max).
handbook ....... Staff handbook (8192 char max).
policies ....... Server policies (8192 char max).
login .......... Login screen (8192 char max).
welcome ........ Welcome message (8192 char max).
start .......... New character start message (8192 char max).
Notes:
- File names can be abbreviated.
- The room sees "$n begins using a PDA." while editing.
- Changes are written to disk and loaded into memory on
save. Use reboot <file> to reload without editing.
