=== USER MANUAL === Usage: power <motion tracker> Description: The motion tracker is a battery-powered wearable device that performs automatic periodic scans of your surroundings. When powered on, it sweeps all reachable rooms at regular intervals, detecting visible characters and objects of interest. It uses the same flood-fill scan as the scan command -- detecting entities around corners and through winding corridors, anywhere reachable within your scan range. Activation: Equip the motion tracker, then use power <name> to toggle it on or off. While powered on, it automatically drains its battery over time. Scan Interval: Each motion tracker has a configurable delay (in seconds) between sweeps. When a sweep fires, detected characters are tagged on your overhead map for the duration of that delay. Output: Entities Visible characters and objects are grouped by distance and direction: You see a Lurker nearby to the northeast. You see a Marine and a Sentry Gun far off to the south. You see a Drone close by above. No contacts If nothing is detected, you will see: --- No contacts --- Distance: close by ............. 1 room nearby ............... 2 rooms to the ............... 3 rooms far off .............. 4 rooms far in the distance .. 5 rooms Map Tagging: Characters detected by a motion sweep are tagged for the duration of the scan delay. Tagged characters appear on your overhead map with a colored background highlighting the room they occupy: Red ......... Enemy Green ....... Friendly Yellow ...... Neutral Tags are refreshed each sweep and expire when the next sweep fires. Battery: The motion tracker requires battery power to operate. It drains a set amount of charge at a set interval while powered on. When the battery is depleted, the device powers off automatically. Notes: - Scan range varies by race and is affected by bonuses. - Lighting limits detection -- in dark zones, range is reduced to your light source or nightvision radius. - Up/down directions are scanned linearly along vertical exits. - Line-of-sight checks are applied -- walls block detection.
