=== USER MANUAL ===
Usage: radio
radio <type> [args]
Description:
Call in air support over the radio. Restricted to humans. A
short shared cooldown prevents back-to-back calls; each sub-type
also has its own per-call cooldown on top.
Support Types:
airstrike <dir> [dist] Targeted explosive blast in a
tile within your scan range. Pattern is
a radius around the tile. Defaults to
5s warning.
resupply [dir] Drop a payload (ammo / medkit /
grenade pack) in the current room or one
tile away.
commando Spawn friendly NPCs in your room.
They follow you, share your faction, and
auto-despawn after a short duration.
mecha Drop a piloted vehicle in your room.
You mount it the normal way. Auto-despawns
after a short duration.
nuke <dir> [dist] Orbital strike. Long warning, huge
radius, severe damage. Save it.
Targeting:
Tile-targeted types (airstrike, nuke, resupply with a
direction) walk the chosen direction distance rooms via the
same exit / barrier rules as movement. Targeting is gated to your
scan range (race base + equipment bonus, capped at 8 rooms).
Friendly Fire:
Strikes will not damage:
- You (the caller)
- Members of your group / follower chain
- Members of your clan
- Anyone in your faction
- Anyone shielded against traps
Same protections as the trap immunity stack -- shielded allies
stay safe.
Cooldowns & Cost:
Each call deducts MV (move points) and starts both the per-type
cooldown and a brief shared radio cooldown. Cooldowns persist
across the session so logging out doesn't reset them.
Notes:
- Spawned commandos and mecha auto-despawn after their
duration. Mecha despawn while piloted will dismount you
safely.
- If you log out before a delayed strike fires, the strike
still happens but allies in your group lose immunity (the
caller-lookup fails). Don't disconnect mid-call.
