=== USER MANUAL === Overview: Retaliation is automatic return damage dealt to an attacker when they successfully hit you. It is sourced from armor properties and triggers without any action on your part. Armor Retaliation: Armor pieces can have a flat retaliation damage value. When you are hit on a body location covered by that armor, the attacker takes damage for each hit that lands there. Damage ......... A flat amount per hit, multiplied by the number of hits at that body location. Type .......... Configurable per piece (defaults to Energy). Chance ......... Some pieces only trigger on a percentage of hits. Mode ........... Can be set to trigger on melee, ranged, or both. Armor Reflection: Armor can also reflect a percentage of the total damage you receive back at the attacker. Reflection scales with the damage taken rather than dealing a flat amount. Percentage ..... A portion of incoming damage is returned as the same damage type that was dealt to you. On-Attacked Effects: Equipment can carry combat effects that trigger when you are hit. These can provide defensive buffs to you or apply debuffs to the attacker, depending on the effect configuration. Notes: - Retaliation and reflection are processed per armor piece, so multiple pieces can stack. - Retaliation damage is dealt as suffering-type, meaning it will not trigger further retaliation chains. - Retaliation can kill the attacker.
