SOULSTEAL
Keywords: SOULSTEAL, SOUL
=== USER MANUAL ===
Usage: soulsteal <corpse>
Description:
Rip the lingering soul from a fresh corpse and consume it, converting
the victim's essence into specialty points. The amount gained scales
with the level of the creature whose corpse you are consuming.
Requirements:
- Your race must support soulsteal.
- The target must be a corpse -- not just any object.
- You must have been the one who killed the creature.
- The corpse must still have a soul. Each corpse can only be
soulstolen once -- afterward it is marked (soulless).
Process:
Soulsteal is a channeled action. When you begin, there is a delay
before the soul is consumed. During this time:
- If you are interrupted (by combat, movement, or another action),
the soulsteal fails and the corpse is left soulless.
- The corpse must remain in the room for the duration. If it
decays or is removed, the soulsteal fails.
You begin to soulsteal the corpse...
You soulsteal the corpse and gain 1.50 specialty points.
Specialty Points:
The soul's value depends on the level of the slain creature and
the type of corpse:
Player corpses .... Scaled by one rate.
NPC corpses ....... Scaled by a different rate.
Higher-level kills yield more specialty points. Points gained are
added to both your current and lifetime specialty point totals.
Cooldown:
After a successful soulsteal, there is a cooldown before you can
soulsteal again. The remaining time is shown if you attempt to use
it too soon.
